The Mayor of Bouloc who wishes to inform us of his point of view with regard to "the Quarry" and who took notice of the importance of our website in the daily life of Bouloc has asked Bouloc Environnement to open our pages as to express him selve.

The Association, open for discussion and eager to contribute to a fast outcomefor a matter which has already lasted too long, accepted this demand.

After the motion voted "against" the quarry project on the 2nd of October, the Town Council persists and signs !

In a recommended mail sent on November the 24th, the Mayor of Bouloc asks the quarry promoter in the clearest to give up the project. Our Mayor and the entire Council of Bouloc signed this letter which specifies :
"We […] ask you to take in account our deliberation but also the opinion of the population and the elected representants of the Communauté des Communes and therefore to give up the project."
As far as we know, Mr Rup did not yet answer to this letter.

In order to inform and to mobilize the public opinion, the Association installed boards and banners in respect of the law. Ever since, one person adopted a policy aiming the systematic destruction and deterioration of these banners which remain after all private goods.
We invite this person to prefer discussion rather then vandalism to express his opinion. The Association has always considered and affirmed that it is normal and legitimate to wish to get an interesting price for one's estates. rather than tearing streamers, come and listen to our proposals.

We all remember Mr Rup saying on the 2nd of October in front of local representatives : "I own these lands".
Today, after investigating and checking this information, the bureau of Bouloc Environnement has the evidence that at that moment this sale had been "cancelled".

Did the owner come to his senses or is this a new strategy of Mr Rup ?
We must remain mobilized : it is not because Mr Rup lost a battle that we have won the war...

During the debate dated the 2nd of October, the Council of Bouloc voted against the quarry project.
Contrairy to local gossip, this vote has been registered and received a visa from the sous-préfecture. In accordance with the rules, this document is available for consulting in the registers of Bouloc.

The quarry of Bouloc was the subject of a talk-debate at the Communauté de Communes Quercy-Pays-de-Serres. The environment commission worked this 18th of October in Tréjouls during a meeting open for public under the coordination of Mrs Tauran, person in charge of the commission.
Only one subject in the agenda : "the quarry of Bouloc".

"The opponents to the new quarry at Bouloc overflow to the Lot..."
About fifty people gathered in the village hall of Valprionde on October the 16th on the initiative of the local councillors : Mr Castagné (mayor of Valprionde), Mr Roux (mayor of Lebreil) and Mr Maury (mayor of Montcuq). They invited the Association as to inform the interested citizens on the progress of the quarry project.

The strange lack of economic coherence of the project which seems justified by the personal interest of the industrialist only in the detriment of general interest, the surprising circumstances of the purchase of the lands by this same industrialist, the position of the SAFER in this matter...
The speakers of the Association could not answer these questions.

A public meeting, organised the 10th of October at the "salle des fêtes" of Bouloc by the Association, has gathered about 100 people.
Lots of questions with regard to the new quarry were submitted and answered as far as the competence of the present people reached. Three major subjects have been discussed : the economical foolishness, the farmers' frustration and the environmental ignorance.
