The population and the elected officials of Bouloc and the neighborhoods made the voyage to Montauban to express their refusal of the project of the quarry of l' EURL Rup. This being the object of a debate followed by a vote of the CODENAPS, also known as "la commission des carrières".
The committee rejected the project of the quarry in Bouloc by 8 unfavorable votes against 5 favorable and 1 abstention.
The population was very pleased with this news. |

The Concert of the Ensemble Albéric |

The association Bouloc Environnement was happy that the brilliant formation of professional musicians which took again the name and the torch of Albéric Magnard by giving to their group the name “ensemble Albéric” agreed to come to perform at Bouloc.
This July 18th, the sale des fêtes of Bouloc was crammed to listen to some nuggets among the works of Beethoven and Mozart. Three members of the Albéric ensemble interpreted the opus 9 N°3 in minor C of Beethoven; and after that four of them, the quartet with flute in major D K.285 of Mozart. Then after the interval, with five, the string quintet in major C K.515 of Mozart.
A true treat was that the totality of the six interpreters, (Jean Charles HUBERT and Aude ESCUDIER with the violins, Raymond and Florent HUC with the violins violas, Brigitte GRENET with the violoncello and Stephan VALLEYS with the flute), mischievously concluded with “Yesterday” of the Beatles.
It must be mentioned that the musicians proposed to perform for us on a purely voluntary basis out of sympathy for the cause which we defend.
These great professional musicians did us the favor to consider that the passion which animated us was also that of Albéric.
We also resist destructors which, with contempt for all people, coming from elsewhere, some for the profit, some out of stupidity, some by spite, some by simple ignorance, decided to destroy grounds formed during centuries, that our ancestors bequeathed us and that we want to protect for our children tomorrow.
We have the conviction that actions like this one, show that Bouloc is becoming the haven of peace, of beauty and culture (in all meanings of the term) that the old ones wished. |

The lotto 2008 |

Following the success of the Lotto organized by the Association in November 2007, we decided to renew the operation. The Association Bouloc Environnement organized its Lotto 2008, and it became an evening marked by a good and cordial atmosphere.
In spite of the bad weather, many people came to play, but also to support the Association. According to chance, the participants shared out the many prices. Those who did not win, they can at least be content to have passed a pleasant evening.
Many volunteers helped with the preparation of the prices and the hall and in this way contributed that this meeting is again a success. We would like to thank all the volunteers, as well as all the people who liberally provided prices.
This weekend was also placed under the sign of Telethon. We wanted to contribute our share to this cause by organizing a raffle of which the revenues are completely transferred to this organisation. Thanks to the generosity of the participants, we are able to hand over a cheque of 127 €. |

The Barbecue |

The Association Bouloc-Environment exists since one year. On the occasion of this event, members and none-members met at a giant barbecue and proved that the opposition to the quarry project is still as strong as it used to be.
The feast made it possible for all participants to come together and exchange their point of view and their ideas. The meal continued up into the late hours at the rhythm of the music… |

The walk on the plateau |

The members of the Association Bouloc-Environnement met on Monday the 28th of April as to show to show their attachment to the respect of the environment and to the general interest, this in opposition to the egoistic interests of some individuals.
The group of about forty people went on its way to the plateau in rain and mud ; not really a pleasure trip !
This walk ended with a pic-nic under the covered space next to the town hall. The use of it was proposed by the Mayor so that everyone could meet, sheltered... |

The Lotto of the Association |

The lotto of 23rd of November at Bouloc has been a real success !
The lotto organised by Bouloc-Environnement was attended by 160 persons in the Salle des Fêtes of Bouloc. Mr gervais, mayor of the 210 inhabitants of Bouloc, managed to free himself of his obligations in order to be present. He could take notice of the good-humouredness and friendships which dominated the event.
Certainly, the players were concentrated as the prices were worthwhile ! But nevertheless, conversations about the quarry were abounding. The goal of Bouloc-Environnement being to enable social exchange and the intermingling of opinions, far from any conflict between generations or other has been atteined. A young Boulocois snatched the big price of the evening, a gift voucher worth 120 €, from under the noses of the elderly... |

Concerned by the future of their village, the inhabitants of Bouloc and the close villages came on the evening of the 2nd of October to show in calm and good mood their support to the Council against the quarry. The improvised picnic gathered more than one hundred people in the court of the village hall.
Meanwhile, Mr Rup was presenting the project "pro domo". Afterwards, on the invitation of the mayor, the Council voted. As a result, the quarry project was officially rejected by the Council. |
